NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A federal judge on Monday blocked the use of newly drawn congressional maps of Louisiana that include only one majority-black district, and she ordered the Legislature to come up with a corrective plan to here on June 20.
State officials quickly filed a notice of appeal of U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick’s order in Baton Rouge.
