Psychedelic Startups Thrive As Seed Funding Grows: Healing Maps Raises $1 Million

healing cardsan informative site for researching psychedelic therapies, announced the closure of a seed funding for a total of $1 million from eight investors including Phyto partners and Ambria Capital.

As part of the investment, Ambria Capital and the managing partner of Phyto Partner Cody Shandra will assume the role of Chairman of the HealingMaps Board of Directors.

The platform was created to provide information and education to healthcare professionals and individuals about psychedelic-assisted therapy and how to find qualified providers in their area. Shandraw said its innovative UX “allows patients to easily search for services by location and medical specialty, then schedule appointments with just a few clicks.

“This ease of use combined with engaging content will be an important driver for the growth of this burgeoning new healthcare field,” he concluded.

Managing Partner of Phyto Larry Schnurmacher said the investment “fits with our strategy and the thesis that people are increasingly focusing on their mental health as much as they are focusing on their physical health.”

Cory Jones, CEO of HealingMaps is optimistic about the prospect of the new partnership. According to him, mental health knows “a seismic change” while clinical research shows positive data on the impact of psychedelic compounds.

“With more and more psychedelic-assisted therapy retreats and clinics opening up around the world, patients need to know who they can trust and which ones are offering the right services. That’s the value that HealingMaps offers, connecting people with cutting-edge resources so they can confidently decide which clinic and treatment is right for them,” concluded Jones.
